WE GOT BLESSED!

Nick the tuk tuk driver drove us to see a temple. it was a Buddhist  temple and lots of statues of Buddha and monks in Orange robes.   Buddhism is all about peace, and quiet and calmness. I really like it because there is no violence. They are always nice. They have really cool statues and really good offerings to buddha. They offer flowers and incense. The monk put a red string on my wrist. I like it a lot. I think it looks cools so I am not taking it off until it falls off, or breaks.

It was really nice - we all got one. But hugo couldn't stay still, so he didn't have one.

We then went to another temple, and a man opened up a small temple. He took us inside and we did another blessing - he called it an eyebrow blessing. He was chanting a god song and the grabbed a bunch of incense and dipped it into water. He splashed the insence at us, so water splashed all over us. He did another god song and flicked more water on us. He had to rub it over our faces. It felt really weird because it was on our face, but sort of felt good. He was a nice man because he was blessing us.

This is where WE GOT BLESSED!! It felt weird.

Nick the tuk tuk driver also took us to the Killing Fields. It was horrifying. 3 million people had to die. We saw heaps of skulls and a lot of graves. This happened in 1975. It made me feel scared and worried, because this might still happen in different parts of the world.  Its amazing because they discovered it in 1979. It was good that they found out about it. It is good to see becuase you these things have happened, and bad to see because i can't believe it happened. I am sort of glad I saw it, and sort of not.

this was scary. I couldn't believe my eyes. I actually saw these skulls. There were thousands of them. It was shocking.

We have been eating a duck. We had a whole duck for lunch. I have been eating a lot of soup. I have liked the food a lot as it has a lot of flavours and spices. The markets are busy, I don't like them much because they stink. If they didn't stink I would like it.

I have liked Phnom Penh. I like all of the cool things we have been going to. The food is great. There are tuk tuks, and thousands of motorbikes. In Cambodia there isn't as much cars as there are in Australia. There are a lot more motorbikes.  Its really hot, hotter than australia. The city is a lot dirtier than australia. There is mould everywhere and everyone throws litter everywhere.
