this is the second thing we saw which is a shop selling leather products downstairs, and then we went upstairs to see the tannery. This is where they die the cow hide. They use henna, bacterias, and vegetable colours to dye the leather and make different things from it. This is a thousand years old, and it hasn't changed much in a thousand years. The tannery is really smelly. So smelly that I felt sick and had to run downstairs.

this is the streets in Fez but some are alsobigger and crowded. We stayed at a Riad with a bed bunk which was awesome. A riad is a large home with lots of rooms. It has courtyards in the middle that let in all of the light from the sun. Riads have gardens as well. They are large because all the families would live together. And before, some men would have up to four wives, so they would have lots of kids and needs lots of room. I wouldn't want a lot of wives. I think that would be stressful. Now most people can't afford to have a lot of wives, so the houses are smaller.

i was taught how to make this mask like a Berber. mum and me bought a scarf - we saw how cotton was made which looked fascinating but weird.

this was the first thing we saw called the blue gate. This lets people into the city.  The blue represents the colour of the city of Fez, which is famous for its pottery, on the other sideIt is green - the colour of Islam. Fez is a very old city and no cars are allowed in the old city so everyone uses donkeys. There are no cars because they wouldn't be able to fit. Some on the streets are less than a metre wide. You could easily get lost in the alley ways, so we got a guide to help us. The buildings behind is a mosque and it has speakers to make everybody prey 5x a day i thought that would be stressful having to prey all the time, but they really like it. When all the mosques are blaring their prayers it is very  loud.

Fez has a lot of water fountains. It used to be the only water source. The tiles are called mosaics, and it is done in a muslim design. I love the pattern but it makes me dizzy as well. Thats what I like about them. I thought Fez was amazing. We saw…
