arty party in Madrid
we are in Madrid which is Capital of Spain it has 6.5 million people in it which is not really amazing because Australia 25 million people in it. The Spanish people speak Spanish ofcorse, eat meat and play.
This is a church and i think its amazing because how did they get that much gold and marble. don't you think thats amazing i do.Its Catholic church which is pretty cool because both of my grandpas were Catholic too.
this is where they get the candle and where they put the money box but it was the wrong day to put the wishing candles down. This is a picture of the old pope - pope john.
i go t this book called TOM GATES EVERYTHING IS AMAZING (SORT OF) i finished it a long time ago now. I got a new one called HARRY POTER AND THE GOBLETS OF FIRE. I have just started reading it. Its pretty good.
we were walking down a really old street called Plaza de Mayer and a man came up to me and we had a photo which was awesome because he was acting like an invisible sailor.
we went to this museum and i was calling them names. I renamed about 50 paintings which was cool. Then I started drawing the paintings I liked. This is one by Pablo Picasso. Plus I was seeing what they were called. I reckon they were epic because they all looked different. I saw one of the most famous paintings of Pablo Picasso. It was called Guernica and it was about Spain's war. It was about ten metres long. It was pretty amazing. you were not allowed to take photos.
This is a work by Man Ray. It clicked and clocked back and forth with a big eye. I drew it but didn't do a good job.
I drew this painting as well by Joan Miro. He is a very famous Spanish painter. I liked this painting as it looks like a big face and nose. I think this is abstract and he used his imagination.
We have been eating out a lot. I sort of like the food, but I have been eating too much sugar and meat. They don't seem to eat fruit - just tapas - lots of chorizo, octopus, cuttle fish, squid and dad didn't tell the truth - and we ate pigs ears. Hugo was digging into pigs ears.
We went to this big palace and it had beautiful ceilings and a lot of gold. Way more than the churches. We saw a big table with about 50 chairs with about 250 glasses. It was the king's dining table.
This boy came up to our table. His name was Ceaser, and he was spanish. He wanted to practice his english. He even told me things about Australia that I didn't know. He told me the capital of Australia is Canberra. I didn't know that. He spoke very good english for a Spanish boy. He was eight and very smart.
We are at the armoury museum at the Royal Palace. We were in the middle of the plaza and I was trying out my Karate moves. This is on my Birthday. My birthday was fun because I got 50 euro. Now I have 70 euro. We were going to go to a big park, but I wasn't tall enough to go on the rides.
We saw cool armour from the 12th century to the 15th century. These are made out of iron and gold. It had really good design. This is the original armour they used to fight with. I reckon it would be really heavy. They had really cool gauntlets. Some had spikes in them. We saw old guns, and clubs. The sharp ones would kill you in one hit..
They had really good armour for the horses as well.
we went to this museum called the armour museum and i found these soldiers houses where they stand, turn around and salute. So I stood in one, and Hugo in the other and we marched and saluted like soldiers.
this is the book called HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLETS OF FIRE and its really hard to read it. I reckon the cover looks epic with a dragon and Harry Potter.
